We are in the process of reconstructing the CONEXT® program to include some bigger and better features. Unfortunately, this means that we have to end the existing CONEXT® Visa Card in order to give you a better CONEXT® experience.

All CONEXT® Visa Cards will no longer be functional (including Bill Pay features) as of March 31, 2020.

CONEXT® Visa Card Closing

Why is the CONEXT® Visa® Card Program Ending?


We are in the process of reconstructing the CONEXT® program to include some new features. Unfortunately, this means that we have to end the current program in order to give you a better CONEXT® experience.




When is the last day to load my card?


You will be able to load your Visa card until December 31, 2019. This includes Mobile Check Loads and check loads made in person at a CONEXT® Network location. No loads will be processed after this date.




When is the CONEXT® Visa Card Program ending?


As of March 31, 2020, the CONEXT® Visa Card program is ending and will no longer be available.




Did New York State shut the CONEXT® Visa Card program down?


No, NYS did not shut down the CONEXT® Program; Mercury Service Group (CONEXT®’s Program manager) is licensed as a Money Transmitter by the NYS Department of Financial Services. We, as a company, decided to end the current Visa card program in order to develop a new and improved program.




Will Visa card funds be mailed to me?


Yes, if there are any remaining funds on the Visa card, they will be sent to you in the form of a paper check to the mailing address on file (you can verify this address by calling 1-855-647-7787). The check will be mailed to you approximately two to three weeks after the Visa card program has ended on March 31, 2020.




Can I go to a CONEXT® network location (i.e. Bridge Capital Solutions) to pick up a check?


You may pick up the check from our CONEXT® Network location, Bridge Capital Solutions, if you close your card sooner than March 31, 2020.




Can I receive my Visa card funds as cash rather than a check?


Unfortunately, any remaining funds after March 31, 2020 will only be returned via a paper check.




How will I receive the Visa card funds from my Secondary Visa cards?


Once the CONEXT® Visa card program ends on March 31, 2020, a paper check will be issued. This check will total any remaining funds on the Primary Visa card, plus any remaining funds for Secondary Visa cards associated with your business.




Do I have to return the Primary/Secondary CONEXT® Visa Cards for my business?


No, you may destroy these Visa cards, as they will no longer work after March 31, 2020.




Do I have to wait until March 31, 2020 to close my card?


No, you may close your Visa card at any time, by visiting the CONEXT® Network locations in Hauppauge or Southampton or by calling 1-855-674-7787.




How do I close my card account?


You may call customer service at any time at 1-855-674-7787 to close your card. You may also fill out the forms at the teller window at both the Hauppauge and Southampton location to close your card.




Can I continue to access my Visa card funds at an ATM?


Yes, funds may be accessed via an ATM until March 31, 2020.




What will happen to Bill Payments on my CONEXT® Visa Card?


After March 31, 2020 any Bill Payments that are presented against your Visa Card will be returned as account closed. In order to avoid any issues, we suggest changing those Bill Payments well in advance of March 31, 2020 to be paid via a different account.

Please keep in mind that loading capabilities for the Visa card will not be available after December 31, 2019.




When will the new and improved CONEXT® Program will be available?


We don’t have any concrete details on the new CONEXT® program yet. But you’ll be among the first to know what we have coming up! And you’ll have preferential onboarding since we’ll be reaching out to previous CONEXT® customers before the public.




Can I still make purchases with the CONEXT® Visa Card until March 31, 2020?


Yes, the Visa card can be used everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted, up to March 31, 2020.




Can I still transfer money to CONEXT® Visa Secondary Cards until March 31, 2020?


Yes, you can still transfer funds to your CONEXT® Secondary Visa cards from your CONEXT® Primary Visa card, as well as other Primary Cardholders until March 31, 2020.
